Founding Members

A few years ago, several leaders of local arts organizations began to dream out loud, together, about the possibilities for the arts to jump-start Pottstown’s renaissance. They’d already seen, firsthand, the social and educational importance of the arts, and were ready to join together to make an economic impact. In 2009 they announced the formation of the Pottstown Arts & Cultural Alliance, whose founding members are listed below.

  • Gallery on High

    Director: Cathy Paretti

The Gallery is located in a fully restored Victorian building in the center of Pottstown’s historical district, moments away from routes 422 and 100, and from routes 663 and 73. Click here for a map and directions.

The Gallery offers contrasting styles of media for even the most discriminating collector and represents local and national artists with established reputations and new and upcoming artists. Its members participate in the area’s most prestigious juried art shows.

  • Gallery School of Pottstown

    Director: Erika Hornburg-Cooper

The Gallery School of Pottstown is a non-profit community art school providing an excellent education in the arts to both the youth and adults of our community, regardless of their income level. Instructors are all professional artists who limit class size for more individualized instruction, helping students foster their creativity and develop their talents for both their personal enrichment and as a foundation for advanced studies in the arts. The school also offers an after-school program for children, as well as an art camp that runs through the summer and on no-school days during the school year. Scholarships and tuition assistance are available.
