<p>CANTATICA, under the leadership of Dr. Michael Tamte-Horan, Founder, Artistic Director and Conductor, is a dynamic, young, professional choral, vocal and instrumental ensemble making its debut in the summer of 2007. The ensemble, based in Eastern Pennsylvania, is dedicated to high quality, innovative and engaging performances of a broad and eclectic range of musical styles including early to contemporary classical, folk/traditional, theater/opera, a cappella, and jazz. The ensemble presents performances as part of an annual concert series, often in collaboration with other musicians and musical organizations in the region.</p>
<p>Membership in CANTATICA consists of a varied number of performers depending on the program being presented established and emerging professional musicians from Eastern Pennsylvania and New</p>
<p>Jersey. Included are voices and various instruments including keyboards, strings, winds, guitar, harp and percussion. All musicians are classically trained, versatile and highly competent as both solo and ensemble performing artists.</p>
<p>Dr. Michael Tamte-Horan is a choral conductor, educator and singer of more than 30 years, and an acknowledged leader in creative choral music programming and excellence in choral performance. He has conducted university and community based choral and orchestral organizations in various parts of the Mid-West and Eastern United States. He is a former member and soloist with the renowned Dale Warland Singers, and has studied and/or sung with many of the world&#8217;s leading choral conductors. Dr. Tamte-Horan is listed in Who&#8217;s Who in America, a recipient of the American Choral Directors Association MN Award for Creative Programming and Excellence in Choral Performance, and a past board member of the American Choral Directors Association. His choirs have been featured at the major professional organization conferences and he has guest conducted numerous choral festivals in various parts of the United States.</p>

Guests can choose a handcrafted ceramic bowl and then fill it with their favorite soup. Bread, beverages and homemade desserts will complete the meal. They will have a nice variety of soups to sample, made by Gallery School members and volunteers, and donated by local restaurants. Vegetarian soups will be included in the selection. Guests can have some culinary fun sampling every option, or fill up on their favorite! <p>When  guests finish their soup, they will be able view the Gallery’s Winter  Member Show: &#8220;Baby, it&#8217;s cold outside!&#8221;. This fun show is all about  contrasts: warm and cold, tropical paradise and winter wonderland.   Visitors can take a virtual vacation to a sunny beach or a snow capped  mountain.</p>
<p>Participating  artists include: Robyn Burckhardt, Joe Hoover, Joni Peters, Dora  Siemel, Cari Myford, Tina Madonia, Sue Ploppert, Peter Ehlinger, Mary  Chisak, Geoffrey Meyers, Donna Meyers, Arline Christ, Molly Light,  Kristy Bell, Millie Lea, Charles McCann, Jackie Pierson, Raun Kercher,  Sharon McGinley and Carol Ross Noyes.</p>
<p>The  Gallery School of Pottstown is a 501c3 non-profit community art school  and gallery. The School offers day, evening and weekend classes to all  ages. The goal of these classes is to help students develop their  creative skills through self-expression and independence. The Gallery on  High hosts rotating shows featuring local artists. The Gallery also  sells handcrafted, one-of-a-kind gift items.  The Gallery on High is  open Tuesday through Friday from 10am-4:30pm and Saturday 10am-3pm. The  Gallery is closed Sunday and Monday.</p>

<p>The first edition in the series, titled Look for the Rope Edge, is centered on Mrs. Smith’s Pies. Drawn by local artist and Gallery Member Artist Steve Kent, this inaugural image is limited to a run of 100 prints. The 18&#8243; x 24&#8243; lithograph comes in a collectible poster tube embellished with Mrs. Smith’s branded foil tins, straight from their foiling plant on South Street in Pottstown.</p>

Relive that time in our town&#8217;s history when the Firebirds were all the buzz, and everyone was a fan. Created by Gallery Member Artist Mary Ellen Christ, this great tribute is titled Hometown Champions and is available in a limited edition of signed and numbered lithographs.</p>

This watercolor was created by Gallery Member Artist Peter Ehlinger.</p>

<p>The Gallery School of Pottstown is a 501c3 non-profit community art school and gallery. The School offers day, evening and weekend classes to all ages. The goal of these classes is to help students develop their creative skills through self-expression and independence. The Gallery on High hosts rotating shows featuring local artists. The Gallery also sells handcrafted, one-of-a-kind gift items. The Gallery on High is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am-4:30pm and Saturday 10am-3pm. The Gallery is closed Sunday and Monday.</p>
